| Chairman - Notice to all Clubs regarding 'RESPECT Barriers' |
.
The League will be voting at the League meeting on 25th November whether to formally subscribe to the FA’s RESPECT programme.
One of the suggested components is to have designed spectator areas. Allied to this is the option for clubs/teams to have “Respect” barriers – effectively this is a tape along the side of the pitch behind which spectators must stand. Clearly no decision has yet been made on whether the League wishes to adopt spectator areas, and it may well be the League considers this should be ‘recommended’, rather than be compulsory.
Whatever the outcome of the League meeting, clubs are asking how they can purchase the “Respect” barriers. The FA is offering these at a 50% discounted price due to funding provided by the Sports Foundation.
For full sized piches, each pack contains 120 metres of Respect tape plus safety stakes, carrying bag & mallet. These are available at a discounted price of £32.50 plus VAT plus carriage costs – effectively £50 per bag. For mini sized pitches (ie Under 10s), there is 60 metres of tape etc at a discounted price of £21.65 plus VAT plus carriage. (The League will be ordering Respect barriers for the Under 7s/8s/9s at mini soccer centres).
The discounted price is ONLY available to teams/clubs for orders placed via the League. The deadline for submitting orders has been extended to the end of November but the League needs to place a bulk order with the DFA.
If any club wishes to place an order for the Respect barrier bags, could they please inform by e-mail
chairman@rdyfl.co.uk specifying:
1. Your club.
2. The number of Respect barrier packs you require for (a) full sized pitches, (b) mini soccer.
3. The contact person at your club.
THE REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AND BY NO LATER THAN TUESDAY 18TH NOVEMBER.
I will collate these & forward to the DFA.

| Webmaster - The F.A. Site - Essential Maintenance |
.
The F.A.'s website is currently undergoing some essential maintenance, therefore the table, fixtures and results links in the RDYFL site may occasionally be unavailable.
This maintenance is to improve the overall performance of the F.A.'s Full-Time League system which has been very slow for the past couple of weeks due to high demand.
Normal Service should be restored soon.
Thankyou for your patience,
Andy Bagshaw
