The appointed Referee has the power to decide the fitness of the ground in all matches. Unless the ground of a Local Authority is called off by a representative of that body. The home team must consult the referee in all cases.

Encouraging Feedback from a Referee received today (04/01/09):
"Neil Hi,
The League should be aware of one of the best games of the current season that was played today at Stand Road.
Two teams that played excellent football, first stoppage for a foul after 15 minutes, then very few. Not one bad foul throughout the whole game. Both teams allowed me to use 'advantage play'.No dissent, no complaining just good hard end to end football by two teams committed to the sport and to providing entertainment to Spectators who were most supportive."

Happy New Year Everybody
I have now scheduled fixtures to 8th February. I would appreciate you looking at them and letting me know any problems. The weather has been against us recently so I will need to put in as many fixtures as I can, sometimes at short notice.
I would appreciate it if you would now restrict closed dates to a minimum. It is unlikely that I will be able to allow any more closed dates for the U12 and U18 as the fixtures are now getting quite tight for both divisions in these age groups.
Please remember that I am always open to suggestions for fixtures that I may have missed. You are hundreds of eyes looking at them to my two!!
I would also like to clarify what happens when a team resigns from the league (3 so far). All of that teams’ fixtures will be cancelled; this includes those that have already been played, which become null and void.
