Online Results Service

As suggested in recent league meetings I have been working on the online results service behind the
scenes.

Please have a play : * test facility now closed * (enter all those results you wished for
during the season, whilst the data is being recorded to test the system it will not change the tables!)

The form is structured as follows:

[Your Name] – Name entered by the person completing the form
[Email Address] – Email address of the person completing the form
[Position] – Select from list [Manager, Secretary, Club Official, Other]
[Club Name] – Select from list [List populated automatically from database of current clubs]
[Agegroup] – Select from list [List populated with current Agegroups (I need to add U11 9-a-side)]
[Match Date] – Select Day,Month, Year
[Select Home Team] – Select from List [List populated automatically from database of current teams
listed in the selected [Agegroup] above]
[Score] – Select from list from P postponed to 30?
[League or Cup] – radio button, can only be one or the other
[Cards Checked] – Checkbox – tick if cards were checked
[Division] – Autofilled once team is selected (although it can be overwritten there shouldn’t be any
reason to?)
[Sportsmanship] – Select from list, a score of 5 or less opens a report box to complete.
[Referee Marks] - Select from list, a score of 5 or less opens a report box to complete.
[Report Box] – opens for Sportsmanship or Referee Marks of 5 or less.
[Security Code] – Enter security code as per image , to prevent spam bots auto sending form.
There is an inbuilt error check system on some (not all) fields of the form, click ‘Submit Results’
without entering any data and you will see which are checked.
Once completed the form sends an email copy of the individual results ,to webmaster@rdyfl.co.uk ,
along with a copy to the person who completed the form , as a record.
The date and time of the result being entered along with the IP Address of the sender are all
recorded in order to monitor any abuse of the system.
Once finished the plan is for both home and away teams will report using this system.
Please have a play and submit some results etc,
Let me know your thoughts and suggestions for improvements,

Regards,

Andy B.

I think the new online results service will be a very welcome addition for net season. Just a thought though. Has every manager got internet access.

I take it this is instead of sending off the 'pink sheets' and we will still have to ring in results. Or will sending in the 'pink sheets' remain an option?

Thanks for the feedback so far, I am looking at adding an "Other" option for the Referee although there should be very few games that do not have the specified referee in charge.

Regarding the "Pink Sheets", we have discussed a number of options, although no decision has been made either way.

Please keep testing !!,

The pink sheet doesn't allow for this either but how do we record a Cup game if it was won on penalties
